A lifelong learner, Kelly is committed to continuing education and to incorporating thoughtful, evidence-informed approaches into her work with clients and the clinicians she supervises. Her personal and professional experiences have shaped her belief in the importance of healthy relationships, clear boundaries, open communication, and meaningful connection. Her faith and care for others also influence the values she brings to her work, including respect, compassion, integrity, and emotional safety.

Kelly earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Michigan and her Master of Arts in Counseling from Spring Arbor University in 2012. Before founding Interpersonal Growth Counseling, she spent nearly a decade working in care ministry at a large non-denominational church, where she provided support to individuals and families, developed volunteer training programs, oversaw support groups and classes, and coordinated community care and benevolence services.

Kelly's therapeutic approach is relational and collaborative. She draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and approaches used in couples and family therapy to help clients better understand themselves, strengthen relationships, develop healthier patterns, and move through difficult seasons with greater clarity and confidence.

Kelly has completed Level 1 and Level 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and is an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS). She provides clinical supervision to Limited Licensed Professional Counselors and values supporting developing clinicians as they strengthen their skills, professional identity, and confidence.
