I am so glad you are looking into ways to help yourself feel better. I believe strongly in your ability to heal and would love to join you on your journey to optimal wellness. My main therapy model is Internal Family Systems (IFS). It has a wide range of applications from simply growth and goal orientation to more complex treatment of developmental trauma and PTSD. It is gentle and relational yet supported by scientific research. The goal is always to help your Self learn ways of leading your internal system, as well as attending to parts of us that can cause overwhelm or other frustrating symptoms and relational patterns. I take a holistic approach to therapy. I have training in integrative mental health therapies and collaborate with other health professionals to support your whole-person healing. I welcome your faith and culture into our work together. I work with adults of all ages, teens, couples, and families.
I earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I am a member Chi Sigma Iota International Honor Society and the American Association of Christian Counselors. I am passionate about continued learning, especially in the areas of Polyvagal Theory, IFS, Relational Life Therapy, neuroscience, genetics and other biological factors (e.g., MTHFR, COMT, MC1R), nutrition, and many other aspects that affect mental health. I am under the supervision of Kelly Lindsay, MA, LPC.
